saphan role

Starts the working environment for a role a person occupies at a terminal: master, advisor or scribe.

Starts the working environment for a role a person occupies at a terminal: master, advisor or scribe.

saphan role start

Prints the environment for the named role — role, track, workspace, backend and the environment variables the engine declares for it — and then replaces itself with the vendor CLI you name, in that environment. Only master, advisor and scribe can be started this way; executors are started with saphan run. The backend shown is always Claude Code, nothing is recorded, and nothing checks that you hold the role you name. ⚠ The printed variable list is not yet enforced: the CLI receives the full environment of your shell.

saphan role start <master|advisor|scribe>
flagtypedefaultwhat it does
--binarystringThe absolute path of the vendor CLI to start. Required; it is never looked up on PATH.
--trackstringThe track (a named line of work) this role works on, shown in the printout; refused if no order in the workspace names it.
