saphan hand
Records that a coordinating agent is handing the owner one decision to make on a stream, with the exact command to run and the output of its rehearsal.
Records that a coordinating agent is handing the owner one decision to make on a stream, with the exact command to run and the output of its rehearsal. A stream the record does not know is refused. The console's Today view lists an owner act only once it has been handed this way; a hand-off older than three days is shown as handed long ago. Recording the same command with the same rehearsal twice keeps one entry, and nothing about the stream itself changes. Only the first twelve lines of the rehearsal are kept, with a digest of the whole.
| flag | type | default | what it does |
|---|---|---|---|
--act | string | The exact command the owner should run, with no placeholders; a line containing < or > is refused. Required. | |
--actor | string | Who is handing the act; defaults to the SAPHAN_ACTOR environment variable, then identity.actor in your Saphan configuration, and is refused if none resolves. The name is recorded, not authenticated. | |
--gate | string | The decision point the act settles, such as stop2, review or merge. Required. | |
--rehearsal | string | A file holding the output of the act's saphan dry-run form; an empty file is refused, but the content is not checked against the act. Required. |
