The console

Signing in and finding your way

A passkey and no password, one sidebar in four groups, the Simple/Advanced switch that changes the screen, and the anatomy every screen shares.

About the pictures on this page. They are rendered from the built console over a demonstration data set, not from a live fleet — a screenshot of somebody's real record would publish their work. What the pictures are evidence of is the layout, the chips and the acts; every number in them is sample data.

The console answers only to the owner's seat on the machine that serves it. You sign in with your device's passkey, or with a one-time code from the CLI (saphan console code) when the passkey is not available. There is no password on this screen. The console's sign-in screen

The shell: one sidebar, four groups

The left column is the same on every screen. It is built from the console's screen registry, so it never differs between screens. The console shell: the sidebar's four groups beside a screen

groupscreenswhat the group is for
YoursOverview · Inbox · Sparks · Notepadwhat waits for your hand, and your own scratch
RolesAdvisor · Master · Scribe · Call a rolethe three long-lived roles you talk to, each with its own sessions
DevelopmentStreams · Runners · Bug Harvester · Reports · Prompt Library · Docsthe work: trains and wagons, machines running legs, defects, projections of the record, the prompts the roles use, the generated process documentation
GovernPolicies · Gates · Ledger · Coststhe rules the fleet runs under, the decisions only a human makes, the money
FleetMesh · Machines & seats · Log · Memorythe machines themselves

Under the groups: the live cost line ($ total · refusals), Settings, your identity with the signature of the configuration you are running, and Log out. Log out asks first — live roles keep running on their machines; you will need your passkey to come back.

Counts to the right of a sidebar item are facts from the record. A green dot means a role is live right now; an orange rotation hint means the fleet advises rotating that role, and hovering says why. When a count is unknown the console shows nothing — never a zero it did not measure.

Simple and Advanced

The switch at the bottom of the sidebar changes what is on the screen, not only the chrome. Simple hides the entries and sections that exist for operators — Notepad, Runners, Bug Harvester, Prompt Library, Docs, Policies, Fleet, golden candidates, sparks to sign, the wire line above a conversation, and the Advanced tab of a role. Advanced shows everything. The choice is remembered.

Throughout this section, a screen or a panel marked (Advanced) is one Simple hides.

Theme, language, keyboard

The theme toggle switches light and dark; light is the default. The interface language follows your browser — English and Polish ship, and a further language is one catalogue file each. Keys: [ collapses or restores the secondary column of a screen; Cmd-Shift-I opens Catch a spark from anywhere; Esc closes any dialog.

Reading a screen

Every screen has the same anatomy, in one row reading from the left: a title, then fact chips, then any filters, then the acts.

chipmeans
greya measured fact
greenOK
redneeds you

Tables sit on fixed columns, so the same column is in the same place in every row — and the same act is always under the same act. Money always carries its unit. A chip too long to fit is clipped and shows its full text on hover. Where a screen would otherwise need a paragraph of explanation it carries an information button instead: one sentence, on demand.
