The VS Code extension (saphan-code)

A read-only fleet view inside the editor — it needs no server and opens no port.

A read-only fleet view inside VS Code — the fleet tree, stream detail, and paste-ready gate commands. It talks to the engine by running the saphan binary an install already put on the machine; it needs no server and opens no port.

Install it from the packaged extension, with the code CLI on PATH:

code --install-extension saphan-code-<version>.vsix

Its settings (saphanCode.engineBinary, saphanCode.actor) fall back to your ~/.saphan/config identity, so a configured operator needs to set nothing.

Per-user vs system-wide state (the --system flag)

Where the install goes and where the state goes are independent decisions, and only one of them is made at install time.

Uninstall

Each route removes what it put there, and none of them touch your identity, trust material, config or state.
